I really am tired of the recycling for the Canes. I vote no on Cullen.

I would recommend:

Steve Ott
Marcel Goc (if we couldn't afford someone else)
Matt Stajan (if we need more O than anything)
Olli Jokinen maybe?
Is Legwand's price too high?

Thanks for chiming in.

Of the guys you named, I like Legwand best. He is UFA this summer, so he could be available as a rental if Nashville gives up its playoff chase and starts selling. But he is a pretty good player and long-time Predator, so my best guess is that they will aim to re-sign him.

I'd prefer Legwand too. Also may re-visit Mason Raymond if Leafs fade from the playoff hunt.

I would have to say no to Cullen just because of his age 37, and @$3.5m this & next year, but I like his 2way game however with Ward's & Ruutu's contract situation I would rather shop Ward, and keep Dobin & Peter's.

With Paul Maurice in Winnipeg I'm sure he and Ward were BFF so we ship ward there and get Olli Jokinen for Center and bing bang boom everyone wins

Cullen is 37? really? so what? We screwed up with letting Whitney go because of some "OLD AGE STUPIDITY" ...and he's been playing well for "how many years"? Jagr is 40ish, come on guys!!! there's plenty of late 30s and early 40s guys who have been VERY GOOD PLAYERS! Ever hear about that guy named HOWE? 50, 60 AND STILL PLAYED AFTER THAT...!
Everybody is different, but giving up on someone just because of age, w/o thought is STUPID!
